Reading Half Marathon 2009

Rebecca Tudor competed in her first ever half marathon and ran to support Christopher's Smile. The "first" was on two accounts as Rebecca is Christopher's Smile's first ever runner and we feel privileged that she made the decision to run for us.

It was a well attended event with approximately 17,000 competitors and many cheering supporters at different points along the route. The weather was kind and the sun shone for most of the morning.

Rebecca, who had never run this distance before (not even in training!) finished in an incredible 2:17:50. We felt very proud to see her and friend Dan enter the stadium looking relaxed, smiling and confident and finish the run together.

Rebecca also managed to raise sponsorship money totalling over £500 for Christopher's Smile. Thanks Rebecca. We are very grateful.
