Richard Carlson completes the Windsor triathlon in 3hrs 15 on Christopher’s birthday, 14^th June. 

It was an early start for Richard to be on the start blocks for 7.30 for his swim, bike ride and run. He was no doubt used to this kind of “tough start” following extensive training leading up to the event. For us spectators it was a great day – the sun was shining and there was a great atmosphere. It was good for us on a personal level for another reason – it would have been Christopher’s 7^th birthday – and to be part of such a positive activity was helpful for us. This year has set a precedent that we will aim to do something positive each year as a celebration of our little boy’s birthday.

As well as completing the event in such a good time, Richard has raised almost £2,000 in sponsorship for Christopher’s Smile, for which we are very grateful.
